google redirected

    hi there, i have come a long way since last week when i couldn't get online or use my virus cleaners at all thanks to reading about unhiding the hidden files and renaming the exe names of the virus checkers. but i am still being redirected at time to sites like shopsearch.com, webnosecret and smartbiz.search. so i have downloaded your mgtools and here are the results. thanks so much for this.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    You need to attach the requested logs from SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, and ComboFix. MGtools is the last of the programs in the cleaning procedure. The other tools must be run first and we need those logs.

    hi there,
    i have to write from another machine... i thought i was doing better, ran all those programs, updated windows, and now my machine comes on saying something like "internet explorer is updating your preferences" and it stays there forever. so i don't even know what to do now. how do i get past that? i did run all the programs that were listed, so it shouldn't be a bug anymore, but maybe something else? please write someone....

    We need the other logs. There were no malware problems showing in your MGtools log. But it was run after all the other tools already removed things so we need to see what was removed.

    The MGtoools log only showed some unnecessary non-malware items and that some of your programs required updating. Like your AVG7.5, AVG7.5 AntioSpyware which was discontinued, Sun Java, Spybot and maybe a couple others. MGtools also showed that you did not put your PC into normal startup mode with MSconfig as requested in step 1 of the READ & RUN ME.

    Also you need to delete all files and subfolders in the below folders except ones from the current date (Windows will not let you delete the files from the current day).
    C:\WINDOWS\Temp
    C:\Documents and Settings\Rose\Local Settings\Temp

    Try booting in safe mode. Problems with Internet Explorer updating preferences is not malware.
