    Hello everyone.

So I started to notice this yesterday (Sunday) when my computer stopped detecting a removable F drive. It was working 10 seconds before that though. So I started to search online to see if I could fix this. While searching for a solution, google redirected me to some random site. If I recall correctly, it was named poiskin.ru or soemthing. I ran my AntiVir scanner after that. And after reading the RUN & READ ME FIRST thread, I ran MawareBytes, saved a log. Then I had to get some sleep in, so the next day it was considerably worse. I ran SuperAntiSpyware with the default setting, without unchecking
    - Scan only know file types
    - Scan for tracking cookies
    - Display scan option in Explorer context (right click) menu

Not on purpose. I just missed it. Somehow. If I should run it again, please tell me. It got alot better after the reboot. Then, I ran Combo Fix, and in the end at stage 50 I got messages saying that "C:\WINDOWS\temp\PR10.tmp is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the chkdsk utility." Along with several different files that I didnt write down. I had no idea what that was, so I didnt do anything. The MGtools ran without a problem.

Google doesnt redirect anymore. I tried 70 search results, and it didnt redirect. Also, my computer detects my F drive again. Could someone make sure I'm disinfected? Also, should I delete ComboFix and MGtools?

Thanks for reading. Any assistance is appreciated.

Fortunately, the scans took care of most of it, we only need to do a few things:

Please use add/remove programs to uninstall:
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 10"
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6"
    Java(TM) 6 Update 2"
    Java(TM) 6 Update 3"
    Java(TM) 6 Update 5"
    Java(TM) 6 Update 7"
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 6 Update 1

Now use windows explorer to find and delete:
    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\extensions\{2842E8B3-6972-4E54-ACE9-40FD77FA4F09}\chrome\content\overlay.xul
    c:\windows\system32\loader49.exe
    c:\windows\system32\SelfDel.bat

Now run Ccleaner to clean out only temp files and nothing else!

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:

    * C:\MGlogs.zip

Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

    Thanks for the reply!

    I couldnt find c:\windows\system32\loader49.exe.
With CCleaner I got another message saying "C:\WINDOWS\temp\PR10.tmp is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the chkdsk utility." Again.

Attached is the MGlogs.zip. Thanks again.

Hi, thanks again for all the help. I know you're probably busy with other things, but it's been a couple days and I was wondering if you were done looking at my logs?

I would love to know if I'm clean or not. Cheers.

Your logs are clean. You may wish to do a chkdsk just to be safe. Further issues can be addressed in the software forum. :)

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:

    1. We recommed you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no real time protection. They are useful as backup scanners. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.

      • Delete the C:\combofix folder from combofix (if it exists)

    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    7. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning steps in the READ ME for your Window version and see the steps to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.

    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
