    Google Search Tips and Tricks
    http://demo.smartnetzone.com/google-search-tips-and-tricks/

site:yourwebsite.com – This command displays the list of all indexed pages with the google search engine.

My note: I tried site:majorgeeks.com in a Google Search.
    About 769,000 results (0.13 seconds) :-D

link:yourwebsite.com – This command displays the list of all the inbound or baclinks to the web site

allintitle:your title words here – This command shows you a list of sites that use all of the keywords you specify in the page title

intitle:keyword – This command displays the list of websites that are using your keyword in the title

allintext:your keywords here – This will show you a list of sites that use all of the keywords you specify in the text

intext:keyword – This will show you a list of websites that are using your keyword in the text

There are also some other advanced options :

    1. Phrase search (“”) : This is when you put a double quotes around a set of words,by doing that you are telling google that to consider the exact words in exact order without any change.
For example, a search for [ "Thomas Edison" ] (with quotes) will miss the pages that refer to Thomas Alva Edison

    2. Terms you want to exclude (-) :You can exclude the words that you dont want to include in search.
For this you have to put a minus sign – immediately behind the term that you want to exclude from search without leaving any spaces, for example [ manchester -cars -football ].

    3. Search exactly as is (+) : This is a very useful search option ,by using this you will stop google from employing synonyms automatically.
You will get the accurate search results for the term.

Hope you get a more accurate result, in the future.;)

    Thanks, bazza.
    Great link.
    Added it to bookmarks.

Here's a tip for everyone about using BB code at Major Geeks forums.

Since there have been several threads lately about web searches, Google and Site Specific searches,
every time someone Intends to display [noparse]site:majorgeeks.com[/noparse],
    it displays as site:majorgeeks.com :-D

The first time I saw that, I wondered, what the heck is THAT? :confused

The reason is that the [noparse]:major[/noparse] part of the character string is interpreted as a Smile. rolleyes

The way to prevent the Smile interpretation is to enclose the string of characters in noparse tags.

    Example:

    [noparse][noparse]site:majorgeeks.com[/noparse][/noparse]

    ;) :major
