In recient light of the hack on some of Googles services using a flaw in IE6 mainly, Google are now to phase out support for IE6, so if your an IE6 user then update to IE8 or go with Firefox, Opera, Chrome (although guessing Google would like you to go Chrome)

Not surprising. It shocks me how long there is support of a lot of older software.

    Hi Ken

Yeah some Gov depts dont like change and/or have not fully tested the latest softwares out to see impact on critical systems maybe, I've only managed where I am to get IE7, however the security is pretty tight and I cannot use the likes of Google Docs etc anyway.

So if your not using the likes of Google Docs and Google Sites as those are first in the fireing line then you are ok, until they later and likely roll it out for all the Google services, by that time you may have new PCs in place.

Good to know David. I'm only using iGoogle and Google Reader at work. Wouldn't get new PCs but get the IE update pushed to our computers once finished testing it out.
