Google have setup a DNS service like OpenDNS to help users speed up their web surfing

I'll give it a shot for the heck of it but what is google saying, that our ISPs are slow? The blog doesn't really explain it well to me or I'm not knowledgeable enough on networking issues, which is for sure my weakest subject.

I'm not understanding it fully either, but I think it's saying they are going to streamline the process for the user by running it through their 'network' (?, or whatever you would call it). I'm not sure how much it could speed up my experience. I pretty much get right to whatever I'm looking for. It would have to only change it by fractions of a second for most people anymore.
