I've worked through the instruction on Fixing Google Redirects. Last week I assumed that GooredFix had solved the problem but today it's back.

The symptom is a normal looking set of search results but hovering the mouse over the link shows that maybe 1 in 5 takes me to a misdirection. I sometimes get an option next to the link to switch off GoogleAds but it is never permanent.

I rerun GooredFix today and subseqently MBRCheck and attach logs from both runs (ie 3 files)

Oh one other thing I forgot

I downloaded Malware Bytes and tried to run today. Two times in succession it started and then closed without error message or other alert. This occurs about 10 minutes after launch. There is no run log.
Can you advise me?

As I have had no response, I am assuming that my original query was too succinct.

My problem is that I suspect my laptop has been infected with malware which is described on some forums as "Googleads". I do not know if this is the official name. The symptom is that a large proportion of Google Search results appear as normal but when you click on a link you are taken to a site which is different to the one you expected. For example I just clicked on majorgeeks.com in the Google results and STOPzilla opened instead. Hovering the mouse over the link shows something like this
