    Dear MajorGeeks,

I can't remember how it starts, but I got stuck with the Goored malware, maybe a month ago. Since then, I tried to run Gooredfix. It seems to have fixed a few problems, but not all of them. I still get redirected sometimes, but not as often. Also, I do have new tabs that open by themselves on redirected links about my frequent search words.

So I followed the procedure Read and Run Me first. I've come out with these 4 logs attached to this post. Can't explain why, but I was unable to get my ComboFix log. In fact, I think it didn't run properly. I followed all the procedure, and at the end of it, my computer reboot by itself. Then, I can't find any Combofix.txt log file on my computer.

    Thanks for the help

I am not seeing much in your logs (other than what you didn't remove in your MBAM log). Did you disable McAfee before running Combo?

Did you set these ( from your HJT log within the MGLogs.zip):
    O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present
    O6 - HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present

Use windows explorer to find and delete:
    C:\Users\MAFED1\AppData\Local\Temp\65658605.od
    C:\Users\MAFED1\AppData\Local\Temp\LOW

    Reboot and run CCleaner.

I would also suggest that you now download and install SP2 for Vista.

    What is still happening?

First, yes, I see theses 2 lines:

    O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present
    O6 - HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present

    Second, I can't find theses 2 files:

    C:\Users\MAFED1\AppData\Local\Temp\65658605.od
    C:\Users\MAFED1\AppData\Local\Temp\LOW

Third, I ran tried to run Combofix again, and it worked well. I attached my log. Also, since I succeed to run Combofix, it looks like all my problems are resolved. So far, I didn't get redirected and my Windows looks fine (it don't reboot by itself).

Good to know. You were missing a system file that Combo replaced.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no real-time protection. They are useful as backup scanners. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    5. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    6. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    7. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    8. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures in step 3 the READ ME for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore ato create a new clean Restore Point.
    9. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
