    I saw an article in the paper about the passing of Gordon Cooper, one of the 7 Gemini pilots. His Gemini flight was the longest during the space race at the time. He'll be missed.

    One of the sadder things about getting older is watching all your heroes pass on. The Mercury/Gemini/Apollo astronauts were my boyhood heroes. Real heroes, doing something that mattered, and expanding our horizons. Gordo's horizons are now limitless.
