Got a Puppy!

Hes only 6 weeks old. Hes a Bluetick hound. I always wanted one and my fiance's Granddaddy just had a litter of 10 born, His daddy is a blue ribbon winner and he is big.

Lovely pup. What's his name? He's got lugs like a schoolboy's satchel :-D
Beautiful plumage.

 

I named him Tet after a Bluetick that was in a show i like. Hunters will know this breed lol

How old is the fellow?
He'll be a beautiful specimen of the breed when older.Very nice looking now.

Maybe I think it had aton of them in it and afew planes too!

Congrats NJ! He sure is a beauty! A guy not too far from me has some, and they are big and gorgeous! I'd say you have a 'keeper' there!

Nice dog. Feed him right and start training early and you'll have a great hunter and devoted friend on you're hands for life.

 

Sorry to report but it got hook worms and we found it to late. We stayed with him all nite last night until he passed yesterday at 5:14AM.:cry

 

I feel your pain NJ, as an animal lover it's never easy to lose a pet even after so short a time.

 

So sorry to hear that, NJ. It's hard to lose a member of the family. I really hope he didn't suffer.

Thanks everyone. My girlfriend thinks she failed him because she done everything she could and i keep telling she she did not fail some times it meant to be no matter how much you do right it will still go so wrong. So shes taking it pretty hard.

I've had animals (dogs,cats,pigeons, and others)around me all my life.You can get attached even to the ones that aren't family pets just through familiarity.
When one doesn't show up at their regular time or when called, it hurts.
Very aquainted with the feeling of loss.My sympathy goes out to you.

 

So sorry to hear about the Hookworm thing, and the sad loss of your friend, N.J. Not the same, I know, but see if you can get a similar dog A.S.A.P. May help 'Fill the void', so to speak.

 

So sorry you lost the little guy. I believe like Phantom to replace him with another, it will lessen the hurt. Keep you busy anyway

 

Dang, met the little guy, then lost him at the same time. I've had similar experiences, puppies will get everything their mama has every time. Speaking of which, has his mama been checked?

Nothing like nursing a sick little guy to bond to them.
