"The largest bill in circulation is $100. The government stopped making bills of up to $10,000 in 1969."

I just wonder if he really thought the cashier had $999,524 in the till. :-D I have heard people predicting inflation, but come on!

I mean how much do you/boss leave in the till for change? Do you keep all your cash proceeds for the day in your till until closing time?? I somehow doubt that.;):p:-D

We don't drop cash like a C Store. But we would not have change for a $1 million dollar bill...

I doubt that banks carry enough change for a million dollar bill, if there was one. ;)

What, you Geeks don't keep a few hundred thousand on you for walking around money? :-D:-D I keep a couple of $K for stripper money. ;)

I wonder how much cash an average bank has on hand. And here is Wiki's convoluted answer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reserve_requirement

When I worked at a larger bank branch many years ago, without saying too much, there were a few days during the week when we would have had that much cash on hand.

    Well, that's interesting.

My brain retires intermittently throughout the day :zzz, without warning and for no apparent reason :confused, and then
just as suddenly comes out of retirement --- for a while. :-D
