got hit by MSN virus. Please Help !!

Hi there,

I was recommended this site by someone whom you helped get rid of some malware problem.

I was on MSN and I got a message from a known friend that said something like " Is this your profile PIC " and it sent some sort of zipped image file with the words photobucket.de somewhere in the equation. I stupidly clicked Open because I assumed because it was from someone I know it was ok.

After I clicked Open, Avast Free Home Edition started freaking out saying " a.bat " is a malware and then my mouse froze and my whole system froze. I rebooted and got into windows ok but on every boot avast finds a new "a.bat" file. Also my internet connection does not work anymore. I am using another computer to post this and to try find a solution.

I am running WinXP Pro 64-bit edition.

I will truly appreciate any help you can give me from the bottom of my heart. Thanks !
