Got Hit By Something Hard

Last night I was browsing the internet, no bad sites or anything like that(or so I thought). Firefox kind of froze and didn't respond for about 10secs and then came back. I noticed things running slower and then it spiraled down hill from there. In short...

I was first told my hard drive was failing by a windows pop up, then my notifications bar told me windows isn't up to date(it is), then some bogus anti-virus opened and just started scanning and listing thousands of infections, then all my files became hidden(not removed), all my start menu programs became empty, my background disappeared, the a HUGE "FIX" button appeared and said I need to press it to remove these 2,000 infections or whatever and my system would be restored to normal then.

Now as soon as I knew something was up I pulled my net, but it still kept happening. I started Windows then in Safe Mode and did a system restore. I then installed NOD Smart Security and Malware Bytes and let those run full scans overnight. NOD said I was alright and Malware found 2 things and deleted/quarantined or whatever it does.

I'm no longer having the fake anti-virus problem but now I have:

1) Strange and completely random sounds/audio playing. I've had stuff from a Ford commercial to movie trailer to what seems like somebody just talking about something. I've checked Task Manager for processes possibly causing this and made sure Youtube or iTunes or Winamp weren't playing. I have no idea where this is coming from and while typing this post I've had 3 different audio clips play.
2) My browser seems to be redirecting almost all the time(not always) to strange sites. I've gotten some site about computers and buying a new one and some political group and some game website I've never heard of.

I have Windows Defender, Malware Bytes(again, after checking for update), NOD32(again, after checking for update), RootkitRevealer currently running scans.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated because this is driving me nuts!
