OK, since my GPU is not compatible at this time with GPU folding, I am running the SMP on my Q6600 CPU. My motherboard has 2 PCI slots. I have run 2 GPU cards Folding on one computer non SLI in the past. I was cleaning up, and fount an 8800GT with aftermarket cooling on it... Knew I had one somewhere...

So, can I install the 8800GT as the secondary GPU, and run the GPU folding on it? Should work, potential driver conflicts, but since this is only being used for folding, a more generic CUDA driver might work?

My main GPU is a GTS 450. Winter is not here yet, but Fall is... Would not mind a little space heater near my feet... :-D

It probably will work but might suck too many points from the SMP to make it worthwhile, irregardless of warm feet, you'll have to monitor that. If you're going to have a pair of nVidia cards in there then you will have to plug in a monitor to the second card upon bootup to have it recognized, using the VGA and the DVI port from the same monitor has been reported to work, or at least a dummy load plug to fool the machine.

Thanks for the info Augie. GPU folding has normally gotten me more PPD than the SMP. I have an extra 19" Hanns G monitor sitting on my desk now, waiting for me to give this a whirl..
