i have many jpg pictures wich i want to use only one part of them... imagine, i was taking screenshots each second, it takes all screen, but now i only want one part of the screen wich is the same in all files, how can i edit all files so that they remove the rest?

If this is an option, re-shoot them by recreating the same screens and shooting just the area you want (all the decent capture programs offer full screen/active window/selected area options).

Cropping a lot of jpgs to some set of criteria will be a lot more work than re-shooting.

If that's NOT an option, Irfan View offers a Resize option as well as good cropping tools. A little experimentation and you'll be a pro. But it'll take forty forevers to do a lot of jpgs, so the first option, if it IS an option, is better.

there is a larger issue at hand. you need to find a program that will do batch editing... and more specifically, batch editing of pictures with specific coordinates that need to be cropped in the image. To further complicate the problem, these coordinates are in differnt spots for every picture.. I've never ever seen a program do this.

no! they are all in the same post, all i did was take one screenshot all seconds during a one hour video chat with msn messanger.
(please know that this is what my friend ask me to help him, i would never use msn messanger, from microsoft all i use is windows 98se, last version of media player and directx)

No, what I meant is that good capturing programs will let you CHOOSE between shooting the full screen
OR the active window only
OR a smaller section of the screen.

I think maybe you have to tell your friend that you made a mistake in the settings of your screen-capture program, and that the pictures are very BIG and take up a LOT of space on a hard drive.
