Graphics And Sound Card

Here is my system info, I'd like some advice/help as I'd like to see if I can purchase a sound card and graphics card for my machine, any advice is welcome and thank you all for your help.

You need to tell us what you are using/going to use the computer for.

 

Sadly, you did not tell us why you need these, or your budget.

As for why, what will this computer be used for? Gaming? Graphics design? General computing tasks?

And what is wrong with the current graphics since that CPU has integrated graphics and according to the specs for the OptiPlex 3020, its motherboard supports integrated graphics too. And of course, it supports stereo output sound.

 

Thank you for your replies, I intend to use the computer for basic music recording (guitar - I use cool edit pro) and only for playing day of defeat (no other games) - my budget is around £100 - £150. I know that day of defeat is an old game and thought my system would manage it quite well, but there appears to be a problem with the game play stuttering or lagging. I've adjusted all the settings to make the game play better but it doesn't help. I used to play this game years ago on a much older computer with lower spec and it worked better than my current machine hence looking to try to update the graphics card. My internet connection is good, so any help is appreciated.

 

According to this, your system is capable of running that game. So I am wondering if it is a driver problem, or if the game is just too old for W10?

 

Thank you for you comments, it' s appreciated. I'll make sure the drivers are up to date and if the same problems happen will have to install a lower version of windows for it on another machine.
