    Hi

I reinstalled windows XP SP 3 yesterday and have since been having an issue with my Radeon HD 5550 GPU. Basically, the HDMI port is the only output that I can get an image from - neither of the DVI ports produce an image of any kind (BIOS or OS itself).

I have removed the card and re-housed it
    I have updated the drivers

It is also worth mentioning that there is another graphics card installed (PCI, not PCIe) which came with the machine.

    Any suggestions?

Greetings, teafan, and welcome to MajorGeeks...

    First, my canned mantra:

The point of this is that I suspect that you need to reinstall your chipset drivers. If you know the correct software to install, fine - but if not, your attached machine info should help us point you in the right direction.

    Hi

Sorry, I have just this second got this working again!

    My solution:

Restarted in SAFE MODE + Networking

This detected my display instantly. I then rebooted and it detected the display as normal.

    Hope this helps someone else.

No reason to say 'sorry'! Glad you got it sorted, thanks for the feedback and good luck.
