    Hi,

I have an Asus Radeon HD5750 in my PC which gave up the ghost a week ago. I plugged back into the integrated graphics and saw that the card was still listed in device manager. I opened the PC and power is still getting to the card as the cards fan was still running. I gave it a tap and and a shove into the PCI Express slot and it started working again.

A week later and the same thing has happened. This time the card no longer appears in device manager. The fan on the card is still running etc. I was going to upgrade the card anyway so bought a SApphire HD 7750. I inserted it into the PCIE slot but no signal to monitor. I'm back to my integrated graphics card now.

    Any ideas anyone please?

    Thanks

Maybe the slot is bad. It happens.
Can you try the cards in another computer? If so, and they work, then it is the slot.

Agreed with plodr - since you're familiar with the hardware, you might try powering down, unplugging, and inspecting the connector(s). I've seen bits of dust get in those slots which prevents good contact, especially since you mentioned giving the card a "tap and a shove" to get it working previously.
