OK, so this could be a funny topic so have your way with it, but there is a serious concern here: whenever I recline on my bed and perch my Chrome notebook on my lap, after a couple of minutes my testes start to warm up and it becomes uncomfortable to the extent I have to move the notebook away from my lap. (And no, it doesn't have anything to do with content being viewing.) Just wondering if anyone else experiences this, and if there is the possibility of harm? Thanks.

LOL Interesting title and topic. Reminds me of a mother a few years back coming on and asking about her daughter's thighs getting burned from her laptop.

I'll leave the puns and humor to the men. ;)

I'd suggest you invest in a laptop pillow. Yes, you can get burned by the heat from laptops. I'm thinking that's not a part of your anatomy you are wanting to have a sunburn on.

My HP laptop gets so hot it actually has burned me on occasion (which sucks, but I'm female ;)). Now I keep it on a TV tray to ensure airflow to all the vents even on my lap, but it still gets pretty darn hot, especially if I'm doing anything graphics-heavy. My next purchase will be a cooling pad, should I actually be able to find one that is affordable and also designed for a 17-inch laptop. Might be something you want to look into getting, too.

Thanks for the responses, but this is not a heat issue. This notebook has an ARM processor and runs so cool that it doesn't even have a fan built in. It's wifi radiation I'm wondering about - is it possible I could be nuking my nuts?

Sorry...when you said it was warming up I assumed you meant it was getting hot. Seemed logical.

Well, clearly I misunderstood as well.

Wifi radiation? If you are worried about that, why wouldn't you put your laptop on something other than your lap. Btw, that is bad for your laptop as well as it doesn't allow for proper venting.

I can't really add any more than what the gals have said already. But yes, you can do physical damage to both lap, (and what ever other private 'bits' that are in the way LOL), as well as bad for the Laptop. And yep, you don't have to have it in your lap, just because its a laptop. Better off, (and more stable) using a tray on your lap and sitting the Laptop on that. Use a metal one if you think you're being irradiated. Legs are bad for blocking off heat vents and I wouldn't recommend the actual "lap" as a good place for a Laptop computer, either, despite the name.
Gosh, I wish I only had stuff like that to worry about. LoL!;)
