Great news!

Remember our new little grandson, Carter, who was born February?

Well he's been sick and in and out of hospital. All sorts of tests and concerns, mostly for cystic fibrosis. He came out of hospital last night and his 2nd round of tests for CF were NEGATIVE!! A huge relief

Now he is out of the hospital, I get to go in Tuesday for my surgery, so will be away a few days until I can lean up enough in bed to use the laptop.

Smoke me a kipper...I'll be back !

Great news about Carter. One of my co-workers is dealing with a young daughter with CF. Not something I'd wish on any child.

Will be praying your surgery goes well and you're up to spamming, er, posting quickly.

Good luck Lev! I think you'll be surprised at how quickly you'll recover as long as you keep moving (walking) but don't over do. My biggest fear was making it up 3 flights of stairs when I got home but it was really no problem at all. I was back on line at MG when I got home from the hospital and pretty much back doing what I do here but with a couple of 1 hour naps a day thrown in the mix the first week.. MA was impressed with some of the illicit activity I caught on the board in my drug-induced stupor.

 

Whoops...my bad as I got caught up about your surgery cuz I know how nervous you are about it.

This is reat news about your grandson and I'm so glad to hear it! Nothing worse than a little one being sick and fearing the worst. The results are definately a cause for celebration!

I don't have stairs at home thankfully. Drug induced stupor huh.....is anyone here going to notice any difference in my postings then? I probably get out Friday, so going on my usual Friday postings - I doubt it! lol You think MA will let me moderate for one day for the laugh....HAHA! (j/k Tim)

I'm feeling very positive...pre-op was good, so I'm not worried, just naturally a little nervous American health care rocks

Great news about your Grandson! Like you said, with such tiny lives health can swing one way or the other pretty dramatically. The good thing is, with babies, they do have a very strong recuperative powers too. Anyway, cool that it is all clear.

Will be sending goo thoughts and prayers your wat for the operation too. Take care.
