I have run Hitman Pro kickstart on a friends computer and it will not find the files for this virus. Have you heard of this particular version before. It looks like it has added a 3.5 gig unknown partition on the hd. I have tired to enter safemode with command prompt, regular safemode and safemode with networking and it blue screens on me. Any suggestions other then a reformat would be much appreciated.

You did not even tell us the version of Windows being used!!!

Assuming it is Windows 7 or Vista, please do the below.

Please do the below so that we can boot to System Recovery Options to run a scan.

For 32-bit (x86) systems download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to a flash drive.
For 64-bit (x64) systems download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool x64 and save it to a flash drive.

Plug the flashdrive into the infected PC.

Enter System Recovery Options from the Advanced Boot Options:
    • Restart the computer.
    • As soon as the BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until Advanced Boot Options appears.
    • Use the arrow keys to select the Repair your computer menu item.
    • Select US as the keyboard language settings, and then click Next.
    • Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
    • Select your user account an click Next.

On the System Recovery Options menu you will get the following options:
    • Select Command Prompt
    • In the command window type in notepad and press Enter.
    • The notepad opens. Under File menu select Open.
    • Select "Computer" and find your flash drive letter and close the notepad.
    • In the command window type e:\frst.exe (for x64 bit version type e:\frst64) and press Enter
Note: Replace letter e with the drive letter of your flash drive.
    • The tool will start to run.
    • When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
    • Press Scan button.
    • It will make a log (FRST.txt) on the flash drive. Please attach this file to your next reply. (See: How to attach)

Sorry for not naming the operating system. It was windows xp. I talked and did some research online and found that i could get into the system using kaspersky rescue disk 10 with windows unlocker. I ran that and then was able to enter windows to run the software that you have listed here on this site. I was at my friends house and he had to leave for an appointment. All logs are on his computer at his house. The only log i didnt get a chance to scan through was the mgtools... the rest all looked clean and am not having anymore problems with the system. It is running as before the virus was contracted. I appreciate all your help in this matter not sure i will be able to get the logs to upload here. But as i said all it well with his computer.

Okay. Glad to hear you have it working. The Kaspersky CD is where we would have sent you if you had stated you had Windows XP in your first message. ;)
