Greetings from Virtumonde Hell

What a friendly little fellow Mr. Vundo is, don't you think? He brought his good friend Virtumonde along as well, and the 2 of them took up residence in my PC. After 6 dedicated days of coaxing them to leave, I thought that as of yesterday they were gone for good. But I see little traces of their visit again this morning, so I am turning to you.

I'll be going through the procedures in "Run and Read Me First" today, but have also read ahead to the WinXP cleaning instructions. So before I get started I have 2 questions:

1. Spybot S&D is already installed on my machine. In trying to clean this little ray of sunshine myself, I updated to the latest version and I see TeaTimer in my program file folder. The WinXP procedures say NOT to download this. So... Do you recommend that I unstall S&D and reinstall it without TeaTimer?

2. One of the weirdest things that is happening is that my Network Connections folder usually only displays my LAN. (Cable modem and router) But lately I have seen a second connection called an "Internet Gateway" and the packet transmissions are off the charts. I'm guessing this is a hijack? Is this an issue related to Virtumonde or Vundo? If not, I will post for help in the appropriate forum as a separate issue.
