Hi and thanks for any help in advance.

I recently was in the process of changing internet service providers, which involved changing from cable modem w/wireless router to DSL modem. After connecting new modem, my computer became very, very slow. It was crashing at various times, browsers were crashing, my internet connection would disconnect at various times. I did a scan with Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware program and also SUPERAntiSpyWare Free Edition and one of them (can't remember which one) found Groove.x32 ADW COULOMB. I have done all from the "Read & Run Me First" removal guide. I have since switched back to my old setup with the cable modem/wirless router. I am still having problems. :cry What do I need to do now?

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

I'm sorry but you are not having malware problems. Your logs are all clean. The main problem you have is an older slower PC with insufficient memory to run current day applications and versions of Windows. Your logs showed the below
    Code:
    Processor x86 Family 6 Model 11 Stepping 1 GenuineIntel ~1296 Mhz
    Total Physical Memory 512.00 MB
    Available Physical Memory 243.35 MB

For your slower, older processor, you really should have at least 2 GB of memory. You could squeak by with 1 GB but 2 GB is a much better idea.

If you are still having problems with a slow internet connection, first bypass and router you have external to the cable modem and directly connect your PC to the cable modem. Then reboot the cable modem and your PC. See how things work with a direction connection. If still slow, talk to your cable company and post in our Networking forum since this is not a malware topic.

Thanks for taking the time to check my logs, chaslang. I am not having slow connection issues. It was just losing the connection I did have. When I am connected, it is okay. I forgot to mention that SuperAntiSpyware found popcaploader and I let it take care of it. My main problems were severe crash issues with any browsers I tried to use, losing my internet connection, missing files, pc crashes, changes in my default browser(sometimes within seconds of switching it back to default), and somewhere along the way, I recall finding Groove.x32 and deleted the files.

Yes, I know my computer is an older model. But, I don't have a lot of programs on it and I do maintain it. Everything was fine until I switched modems and was working on the settings in my router, to get my daughter's computer to use my internet connection.

Thanks again for your time. I do appreciate it.

    You're welcome.
Then you should debug the reasons for crashes in the Software Forum.

Since you are not having malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    5. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    6. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    7. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
