grrr ... UPS

ok ... i ordered a case from tigerdirect ... anyway .. it's supposed to get here friday ... but right now it's in Hodgkins Illinois(which is a suburb of chicago)

but what i dont get ... it goes from Miami to hodgkins OVERNIGHT! ... so y do I have to wait till friday? ... i checked it at mapquest,com and it is 1290 miles from Miami to Hodgekins ... and 1297 miles from Miami to New York City??!! don't tell me that they dont have a sorting warehouse somewhere in the NYC area ... oh sure now it has to travel from Hodgekins to New York(800 miles) ... but they could've skipped a step by sending to their sorting facility in NYC ... i mean dur!! ... not only that it would've been more efficient

 

suppose it might ... im just bitchin is all ... i did pay for 5 days so ... it just didn't add up is all

Both UPS and FedEx use large central hubs for sorting and routing their stuff. Every FedEx air package shipped outside your local area goes through Memphis for example, regardless of how weird the resulting track looks. Sounds crazy, but seems to work for them. Your package obviously got put on a plane for the first leg, and will no doubt be trucking the rest of the way.

Those tracking tools are great but do increase the frustration factor.

Good luck with Tiger Direct. I've heard more than a few nightmare stories about them not delivering what was ordered and swapping parts. Complaints seem to come in cycles. They must have a high turnover.

 

Last thing I ordered from Tiger Direct (which was a month or two ago) got here a day earlier than predicted. They always give a later date so as not to piss more people off if it isn't there when they say. If it's early, people are happier.
