GTA Vice City help

    The game runs great, except when I get in a gun battle. Damn thing slows to a crawl. Have tried frame limiter on and off, no difference. Set everything off except frame limiter, map and blips are on, 800x600x16

    P4 1.6ghz, 64mb ati mobility radeon 7500 , winxp sp1, 512mb ram...


    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    You should overclock that P4 and get a new vcard. Like a 9600 Pro or more. And set that P4 to 533FSB or more as well, heh.

    would love to but its a laptop. I upgraded to DirectX 9.0a and its gotten better. oh well, at least I can play this game, I like it lol

    Just set it to 6x4 and itt will be silky smooth ;) Or you could get a case and try and put the mobo and everything in the laptop in a full case and overclock at least, that would be cool ;)
