Hey, I posted here about finishing myu guitar. Well I had a lot of help so while thats in progress, I have been thinking about design. I hacve decvided to go with a clear scratchplate with led's underneath in the body. Problem is I don't know how togo about wiring a battery into the gutiar to connect it. Can anyone point me to either a tutorial or explain how to do this?

Shouldn't be to hard, probably just need a few resistors before the LED's to make things work right. Can you elaborate a little more on what you are trying to do, just some led's here and there or light up the entire area under the pickguard?

there's a resistance calculator. Put in your source voltage, ( A 9 volt battery would be more than enough), the forward voltage of your LED,(should be on the LED package or in its spec sheet), and the LED operating curent.(same place as the forward current)
That will tell you what sized resistor you need to limit the voltage and current down to tolerable specs for the LED's

Hey, I'm thinkin of about 5ish, not sure where though yet, depends where is gonna catch the most light on the guard. Sounds simple enough from what people told me, but I just gotta find somewhere in the guitar for a 9v battery
