They say that after 25 tries the average is 75% on my first round hit 88% so just for the fun of it I tried it again and got 91

    Pretty wild.

    I was 88% on 25 tests.

What amazes me, speaking of waiting in lines (in the article), are people who just follow the crowd when they are going into a sports venue, waiting in line at a public bathroom, etc. I'll never forget being at a Penn St tailgate party before a football game and having to use the portapotty. There must have been 20 people in the first one I came to. I walked about 30 feet away and there was one with pretty much no line.

Yes that always happens. After I did my yearly motor car test this year I went into the office to pay and receive my license there where about 20 people in two lines on the one side of the counter and no one at the two clerks on the others side of the counter. I when around to other side to pay and the person behind me followed me. Someone it the other line saw this ran around the counter insisting the he was before us and wanted to be served first. The clerks just smiled and finished with us.

That test isn't a test of approximation its a test of short term memory, after the picture has left the screen you try to remember how many of each where there.

I think she's already come to her conclusion "Or had already written half her paper."Then designed the experiment to give the answer she wanted.

I think logically deducing an approximate answer like how much fishes warm the ocean or something simpler is also totally different to guessing how many blobs "were." in a picture but then again I'm not a shrink EDIT Neuroscientist
