Half-life problems

I have a problem that the company seems unwilling to help with, with canned responses drivin me batty LOL

When I load HL2, it gets to that blurry loading screen, and, when just about to show the main menu, it just REBOOTS my puter! Does anyone know why it might be doing this? I have done all the norm... (disable all startup, REFORMAT, REINSTALL WINXP, etc.)

I have AMD 1.8Mhz
Geforce 6200
1 gig ram
100 gigs hdd
XP home

Graphic card drivers which version of nVidia Forceware drivers are you using? it maybe a good step to install the latest version http://majorgeeks.com/NVIDIA_Forceware_2K-XP_d3294.html

also when you re-installed XP did you also install your chipset/motherboard drivers? ( these will be found at your motherboard manufacturers site )
