Pagans in the UK forced a police department in Kent to change the name of an Halloween-era anti-crime effort because they said it was "grossly irresponsible" to link their religion's name to crime, according to the BBC.

"Operation Pagan" was to be launched later this month around Halloween and Guy Fawkes Night in Ashford. Police apologized and changed the name, however, when members of the 5,000-strong Pagan Federation complained.

"They wouldn't have called it Operation Christian, Operation Jew or Operation Muslim for obvious reasons, so why Operation Pagan?," said Pagan spokesman Brian Botham.

Hullo??? As Pagan spokesman you'd think he would know that Halloween is traditionally a pagan celebration, so calling it Operation Pagan was actually politically correct, unlike calling it Operation Christian, Jew or Muslim. That's a bit like saying "They wouldn't have called it Operation Muslim" when referring to Christmas! lol

I think the point the spokesman was trying to make was that if, for instance, they were doing an anti-crime thing near Christmas, they certainly wouldn't call it "Operation Christian" because it would offend a lot of people. So he was expecting his religion to be treated with the same courtesy/political correctness.
