halo help

i just installed halo: combat evolved and when i start up the game it starts but then suddenly quits and says that map/prisoner.map is missing.

ive tried reinstalling it multiple times in other directories and whatnot but it still says the same thing

help!!

 

Check for scratches on your disc. Sounds like you have a corrupted disc archive.

That's a 12.9MB multiplayer map, so if you ask at a Halo: PC board, someone should be able to help you get a copy.
