Halo lagging

My Halo game is so laggy now... it lags my computer like crazy. I've played it before with no problem and I play the trial version with no lag at all. I recently got a new computer which can easily handle much better games. I just started playing again and it just started lagging me. The game is fine for about 30 seconds then starts getting laggier and laggier. I've tried reinstalling the game many times but this fixed nothing. Can someone help me?

 

what are your specs? post an everest log after playing for a little while, I wanna see your temps.

1gig Dual channel SDRAM
ATI Radeon x600 256MB HyperMemory

The heat's not a problem; my computer has big heatsinks and the fans never even have to run. And Halo full starts lagging after 30 seconds, when I can play for hours with other games (including Halo Trial).

 

those are good specs, try udating your drivers, what otehr games do you play?

 

Drivers updated, nothing changed...
I play AA and Battlefield 2 fine with no lag

 

Hmm... when I play, the my ping starts ok then when I check it when the lag starts it shoots up to the 900's...

 

It's not internet lag though, I have dsl and don't lag in any other games. But in Halo fv, even the campaign lags.

 

When Halo's running there's a process called `f1d055.tmp in my task manager that dissapears after I close Halo. I've googled it and it seems that there was an error everytime that it showed up. What does this process do?

 

ARG can someone plz help solve this... I can play Halo trial fine but not the full or CE

 

When you say Campaign , do you mean that the single player also lags?

Also , the file ; "f1d055.tmp" is just something the game refers to for certain commands and values. ( I beleive. )

 

Yea even if I just stay in the menu the game starts lagging
