HAME MPR-A1 & VodaphoneK3770 dongle probs.

Hi, just bought a HAME mobile 3g router. Want to run the vodaphone dongle K3770 through it but can't If I plug dongle in the dongle flashes blue and no internet and the router stops showing up on the available networks, flashes red and then needs a hard re-set. Any ideas? The HAME was bought from china and I can access the settings via the internet but don't know what the hell I am doing so have left it well alone. I have tried to update the firmware via the settings but when I click, nothing seems to happen? :/
Any ideas?
PS the HAME website is chinese and google translate doesnt fully translate so I guess I am just stuck for now!
