HandBrake video converter - new version

Just some info about the new release of HandBrake 0.9.3. It was orginally released for Mac a while back, and a Windows version followed (as did a Linux version). However, finding any information on how to use it in Windows was very difficult, and was one reason I didn't get around to using this excellent app for some time. I hadn't used it in about 6 months, but then I saw that a new version was on the MG font page, so I thought I'd look into it. There have been same big changes. First, HandBrake 0.9.3 can now encode most video formats, not just DVD formats; this means it can encode MPEG, AVI, WMV, etc. Nice addition. The outputs are still AVI, MKV, MP4, and OGM using the MPEG4, h264, or Theora codec. More info can be found here. Another big change, is that the HandBrake people have removed DVD decryption. This means that HandBrake 0.9.3 will not create back-ups of your copy protected (ie; store-bought or 'commercial') DVD movies. Here's a quote from the HandBrake web site:

Oh well. Not much you can do about that except to find another free decrypter. If using Windows, this is not a big deal, there's a few of 'em (like DVD43 or ShrinkTo5). Another thing (don't know if it's new) is that I found a 'walkthrough' or how-to guide for Windows, which was almost impossible to find in the past. For those interested, you can read it here.
