lol... true.
but i was 'almost' hit by a truck decades ago... it was very surreal.
i'm in the slow lane of the freeway, commute time, trying to get to my off ramp to get home.
the freeway was a parking lot, all lanes were stopped. i looked in my rear view mirror and saw a very large tractor trailer truck, in my lane, going rather fast for a stopped and jammed up freeway. since i could literally go nowhere, i sat looking in my rear view mirror, transfixed, as the radiator grill of the truck was now all i could see, and it was getting larger and larger. i could hear the truck slam its brakes and i sat transfixed on that ever looming radiator grill. fortunately, i was in the slow lane, and the emergency lane was next to me and was clear. the truck driver was able to steer the nose of his truck into the emergency lane, and when the truck finally came to a complete stop, the nose of the truck went about half way up my car. no harm no foul, right... i don't recall, but i think i got drunk that night. lol
