    It was! Mostly it was great to go out and have a nice dinner with our girls. Being teens, they both seem to be off doing other things on weekends, right now, so its rare that it's the 4 of us out on a weekend.

    You didn't get my invite, Spock? They had a seat for you!



    Thanks all! We went out for an early dinner last night for my birthday. We went to Capital Grille, which is a steak house....I got shrimp.:-D

    Today, I plan on pretty much doing nothing. Hubby and I will most likely go out for a drink or two this evening when we drop our youngest off at a Halloween party.

    Most likely we'll also be making plans for the Hurricane coming up the coast. I'd suspect we may be losing power at some point with all the rain and the heavy winds we are supposed to get.:(

    All I've had lately is a relapse of cancer and my right eye blown up, ( big, bad hemorrhage :().

    Hey that IS a great looking cake, Laura!:cool I've been doing a lot more cooking since I've been laid up. Trouble is - I can cook 'em, but I don't want to eat, anymore. So, I've cooked all these loaves of bread and carrot cakes, chocolate cakes, Passion fruit slices, Pineapple Upside-down cakes etc, etc. and give them away.:drool
    ~ I cook, the g/f eats them. A perfect relationship....roflmao
    I do all these healthy things, like stews, casseroles, roasts, etc., and most of it is just given away. There's a lot of well fed people around me, eh.:yum ~ Me - I end up eating some dry crackers, or some such crud. About all I can stomach, lately.:(
    Yeah, I only trust myself, too when it comes to, what I would term - a "perfect stake".;)

    For sure! That way I know I'm cooking it perfectly...not to mention the amount of money they charge for a piece of steak! It's about 4 times more than what I can buy and grill on my own.

    Yuck on not being able to eat, Barry. I'm surprised you still want to cook. I bet everyone appreciates it though. I know I would. :-D

    You too, Charlie! I'm sure you are getting hit harder than we are.

    Nothing like a Hurricane, a Nor'easter, and a full moon with the high tides to finish off my birthday weekend.:-D
