Its just a made up swear word from Red Dwarf,people try to link to thinks and try to find vulgarity in it but its totally innocent,the creators came up with so Red Dwarf could be shown on the BBC at peak time.

I figured smeg was an adaptation of a curse word :-D because at a forum i used to frequent, before its demise, the popular substitution word was smurf. That smurf was such a smurfin smurf :-D

 

I was told while at school that smegma was a term used to describe a certain.....organic material accumulating in a certain part of the male human anatomy. Is smeg maybe derived from this? I suspect so.

 

I think its lot more fun not to swear sometimes,especially when you mix up tenses and plurals:-D
