Ah, the crappy birthday syndrome. Hope yours gets better, or, like me, you plan a celebration on a completely different day and THAT one turns out fabulous! Either way, Happy Birthday!!!!

Basically, my mother in an ill fitting attempt at humor, went out of her way to piss me off and make me feel bad that morning just so she could "Suprise" me later. I live across town, have no car, and never see her, she could have skipped that part! Plus my kids were AWFUL and I was trappd home alone with them and nothing to do ALL DAY.

So feeling pretty vulnerable I launched into this spewing rant on my facebook about both my parents and how "special" they are. This guilt tripped both of my parents into remembering to actually call and talk to me - which cooincidentally made them feel really old, double bonus - and my mom showed up with Kevin (my roomate) and had brought him home from work with a bouquet of sunflowers and a fruit bouquet that she and my sister made for me.

So the end wasn't so bad.. I called them all names and they tried to make it up to me. Because you guys know I'm sweet with a bitter crunchy shell, but under all that sweet is a hardcore Irish-Italian-Redheaded BITCH and I let that all fly.

I think I'm just cranky because I can't eat cake and ice cream because of my gall bladder, or drink because I'm pregnant. After I pop I'm going to have a night to make up for lost time, and anyone local is welcome to meet me out and partake of my excess. I'm a pretty funny looking drunk.

Today should be better. The kids are less psycho and Kevin is cleaning, so I have less stress. And in a little while mom is dropping us all off at the mall so I can get my hair done for the wedding I'm going to next week and something or another I buy for myself.

 

I got the whole family's hair "did" and omfg that was not cheap.

 

I got my hair done today as well. Always puts me in a better mood.

If I still had any hair to speak of (on my head,that is . . . been losing it since I was 15) I'd get it done in your honor. Somehow I feel getting my chest hair combed and trimmed would just not be as meaningful :-D

Nope. My hair is longer and the color is much darker. Also, judging by that photo, I think I wear more make-up in a day than she does in a month... LOL
