I see everyone here getting a thread for happy birthday wishes, I`ve been ripped off, no one did a thread for me on October 10th?

Oh, that reminds me, I`ll be 10th, October, 2010 this year, making me 30, DAMMIT, I will be forced to grow up, but I promise to take no hostages!

how bout a free mainboard and cpu upgrade, quad core specs? :-D

 

I`d kill for a Mainboard and CPU upgrade, I need to get this PC updated, my system rating in windows 7 is 3.9, I would like it to be the max of 7.9... That would be sweet, I have an Asus P5ND2 SLI Deluxe mainboard and a Hyperthreaded socket 775 3.6GHz single core CPU, which is showing its dated signs, I aint sure what the max CPU it can support but if it is possible to use a quad core, then just send us one of them, ok? :-D

Actually taking about Birthdays, When is good ole Tim Tibbets birthday, I can't seem to find it, we outta go out of our way to get him a nice gift, since he is forking out to keep this place alive and going day to day, trust me when I say I know how much web hosting costs! And my site was no wear near the popularity as to the current state of majorgeeks.com, my site was only 1% out of 100% in comparison of hardware-pacers.com vs majorgeeks.com popularity. Plus the downloads that majorgeeks.com offers attracts a truck load of traffic!

When 3DFiles.com went away I had hardware-pacers.com already setup like a second home for 3DFiles until Tim got a replacement ready, I was paying out piss all at the start when I had hardly any members, but as soon as 3D Files went down and alot jumped on my band wagon, the hosting costs for all the bandwidth usage was sky high, that was one of the reasons I got out of it, I didn't plaster the site with any ad's what so ever, so I had no income from the site, it was basically me just paying out for it. I didn't want advertising on it, I personally hate going to websites with ads, they make the load time slower, but at the end of the day you do need them to pay the bills, I didn't realise this until it was too late.

I may, and I say that with a light tongue, I may setup a new website, I am currently trying to save up for a system upgrade, I just priced the cost of an upgrade this morning for $509 for a new Mainboard, CPU & Memory, however my application for flexi-rent failed, and seeing as I do not own a credit card, my only other option is to save up and buy the goods when I got that sort of money to spare.

yeah i know what you mean i am not one for the old plastic fantastic either been offered a few but don't see the sense in spending what i don't have. i am in the same boat wanna upgrade old bertha here but she's a little bit prehistoric and i think a hole new unit is on the way soon as the boss lets me she will be retired to the kids domain.
you will have to post a link to your site when you get it up and running i am always on the prowl for something new.

 

It's the wanting to upgrade thats the pain, only a few months ago I was bed ridden, and never had the interest at all to get back into computing, but after some phycological support from my fiancee and doctors, I managed to peel myself away from the bed ridden-ness and get the enthusiasm to get back into computers, my original PC that I bought just over a month ago for $250 was a complete dud! Worked one minute, then nothing the next, eventually it would power on but wouldn't post! And I think the X1950 ATI Radeon AGP was a dude, becuase if I run a game, just around 20 minutes into the game it would do a hard reset, that happened from the moment I bought it, so I have that videocard sitting here put aside, which as far as I am aware works, so if anyone wants a new videocard, I`ll send it to them and they can give it a whirl. its 512MB

The guy I bought it from took it back to check out and apparently everything was blown, the mainboard, memory (2 gigs), videocard. etc I am still wandering about it, but thats old now, then I purchased this one for $150, which is a single core CPU @ 3.6GHz, 4 Gigs Ram, ATI 3850 Videocard, etc

Don't get me wrong, its alright for what it is, but if I go to run a game I have to tone the graphics down, and it feels like the 1.8 Dual Core CPU I originally bought in the old setup was faster than this one? even though its 1.8 + 1.8 = 3.6?

This is a 64-Bit processor, so if and when I upgrade, I`ll install Windows 7 Ultimate x64. That way the memory isn't only partly used....

I`m rambling again, someone shoot me! :-D
