Happy Thanksgiving geeks!


We all have alot to be thankful for, so take some time an express some gratitude for the wonderful world we live in.

We have a pointless "war" going on.
America has never looked worse in the eyes of the world.
Our environment is rapidly becoming tainted.
The world population is climbing at an alarming rate.
Who knows, maybe 10 years from now we'll all be eating soylent green turkeys.
When we're all loosing our belts another notch- theirs people in this world we won't even be eating supper.
When we're all eating 4 times more then we should be, 23 Children are dieing of malnutrition every minute.

So happy thanksgiving America. Eat some food, loosen your belts, then eat some more. Enjoy your gluttonous feast. And most importantly give thanks!

Happy Turkey day my fellow Geeks! the Beaujolais Nouveau was excellent tonight! http://www.intowine.com/beaujolais2.html

The only thing I disagree with is this: 'Simply put, Beaujolais Nouveau is as about as close to white wine as a red wine can get.' This person I guess, has never had a really big Chardonnay or Gevurtrsaminer (sp). But the history and all about the Beaujolais Nouveau was interesting. We got ours on Wednesday, but did not sell any untill the next day. It even had the date to sell on the cases.

This year is a nice drinkable wine. buy a bottle it you are of age and like wine.

Not to really keep a thread going too long, but darn I ate too much.

On a more serious note, be thankful for your close friends, they are the family that you choose. Try not to loose touch with them or they will be gone someday and you will regret not talking to them more often. Sorry to be so serious, but I have to go out of town Saturday to see a good friend who will likely not see Christmas. While I am not a religious person, please remember to thank whoever you believe in for the time you get with those people who help make your life a little bit better for being in it.
