I know you have posted here before so you should be familiar with the process.

No HJT logs unless requested. And when requested logs are to be from normal boot mode not safe mode.

Could it be this Folding at Home item?

    O23 - Service: FAH@F:+Documents and Settings+Dennis+Local Settings+Temporary Internet Files+Content.IE5+HV0KT2J9+FAH502-Console[1].exe - Unknown - F:\Documents and Settings\Dennis\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\HV0KT2J9\FAH502-Console[1].exe (file missing)

I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to tell me.

Just download the new HJT. Extract the hijackthis.exe file from the ZIP into the F:\Program FilesHijackThis folder. Yes, you should be able to overwrite the old version.

If you now, run that program it should say it is version 1.99.1. When you save the log, observe where you are saving it. Otherwise you will have to search for it.

No apparent problems in your log.

You may have a particular piece of software that is doing something to cause this to happen. AV and spyware blocking programs can do things like this if the are doing any scanning. Otherwise look to see what is using your CPU cycles when it happens.

This is more of a Software/Hardware Forum issue I would expect.

I still question whether the service I mentioned before (O23 - Service: FAH@F) could be using your CPU at various time. Disconnect yourself from the internet (unplug the cable). Does it still happen every 10 minutes? Does it happen if you boot in safe mode?
