Hard drive components

    I am wondering as I post this if it will receive the "Most exotic or off the wall question" award. Does anyone have any idea who manufactures the aluminum platters that are used in hard drives? I understand from a little research that one company makes them for just about every manufacturer of hard drives but can't find out who. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
