Hard drive fills up with empty files

    I fell asleep with all my music in a playlist and it set on random. When I woke up, my external hard drive was completely full of empty files with extensions that aren't real. Plus, I'm guessing the names of the files are so long that I cannot delete the files. Is there someway I can remove these? They are inside of every folder and subfolder of my hard drive. I've ran multiple virus scanners and they have found nothing.

    You posted this same message 4 months ago and you were given instructions then to follow. Why have you waited 4 months????
    I have to assume there is nothing really important on this drive if you have lived with the problem for 4 months now.

    Umm... obviously it didn't work... As much as I appreciate you trying to help me, I don't think its necessary to be a ****in dick. Thanks though, thanks for being an admin with understanding. =)

    Obviously?????? Really, we are all mind readers that can tell that you followed those instructions????? How in the world are we supposed to know that when you never responded and never attached the logs that are requested?

    You come here looking for free help and you do not follow the instructions we give you which is what we need in order to help you. We cannot help those people who refuse to help us to help them. Then you wait 4 months and post the same request for help and are referred to the original instructions to follow and now your all you can reply with is an insult! Here is a suggestion for you, please take your problem elsewhere.
