Hard Drive Locked.

I'm having a problem with my Futijsi 80gb hard drive. All of a sudden, after i restart my lap top, I am getting this message on startup. ..

Hard Disk Locked, please enter user password:



Also, when i access the bios i cannot even change the boot up order or anything. Nor can I load the defaults.

When I tried to reformat, it's saying that the hard disk is inaccesiable. .

My guess would be that it has been locked. But why?

 

You can pull the CMOS battery out of the machine for a few minutes to reset the BIOS back to defaults (ie clear the password)

It's not even letting me boot up. I cannot even get to windows.
