Hard drive pin extender

Looking for a source for an IDE hard drive pin extender. Anyone have a suggestion?

I'm not exactly sure what you need here.... a "pin extender"? Why do you need to extend the IDE drive pins?

 

I assume that it's an adapter similar to that used in many Dell laptops (mine included) that use IDE drives.

If my assumption was incorrect, then maybe an IDE extension cable for a specific HP case type (clamshell opening?)?

 

:-o Ahhhhh.... an adapter. That makes sense. I've never heard it called a "pin extender" before. LOL Many laptops do require an adapter to correctly connect the hard drive to the PC, and eBay is the place to find it. Nice work satrow!
