I had a problem with a flash drive and it wouldn't format. I tried too do it via the disk management, but there it didn't have a drive path. When I went to give it F, that letter wasn't there, so I gave it another letter. The result is the drive is still there and I cant remove it.
I think it could also be linked to being unable to format any of my flashdrive when trying to do an ISO to USB.

    Any guidance would be appreciated.

It appears that you added another partition to the main Hard drive. Drive D is not the Flash drive.

If the Flash drive is not showing up when plugging it into the USB port, or trying it in another device, say another computer or gaming system. Then most likely the Flash drive is toast.

The flash drive is okay both on this computer and others. It's an 8gig one and it's fine. But the 8g has stayed on the computer and I can't remove it. The D drive was a very small partition and I wonder if I've both up, but either way, I have just under 8g showing on my PC that doesn't exist!

That 7.81 that is unallocated, is just free space on the drive, that does not have a partition assigned to it.
