I recently got another computer from a friend. computer works fine but i have a problem with the hard drive. the hard drive has 12 gb a c: and i later found a i: partion. the problem is for some reason everything on the c drive automatically copies to the i drive. i make nay change to either and it changes both. how do i keep the c drive from copying to the i drive i dont need it, and i need the space. ive never encountered this before so i hope someone can help. thanks

I dont think you explained yourself so we could grasp it. Are we talking about a seperate partition? To get to i: you must have 5 other drives (hard drive and cd) or partitions. I think I need to know all of your drives and partitions. A tool like Partition Magic is invaluable for problems like this.

that is all there is is a c and a i. the hard drive was split to 2 equal drives.

have a cd player, zip drive to go along with it. im just wondering if there is a setting causing this or some hidden program causing my c drive to duplicate to the other half.
