I have 120gb hard drive. It will load in bios, but it will not operated as a primary drive or show up as a slave drive in My Computer. I have moved the jumper to all the different pins, the only thing it changes is the showing the drive in bios. I think the hard drive is toast. Thanks for any help.

So the drive is recognized in BIOS - correctly? ie.. master or slave on primary or secondary channel & like WD0800 (whatever the manfucture is) not just gobbleygook?

Get the Ultimate Boot Cd and run the manufacture's diagnostics on it.. that will tell you if it is toast.

    Foogoo,s lead is very useful.

Otherwise, look on majorgeeks downloads, for manufacturers support tools.
    or, hard isk manufacturers site
The drive might need to be activated, or, partitioned.
    Try super fdisk on it
