Howdy Geeks, this is a workaround for Chrome if you get the "This site is insecure" message and you get blocked from opening the site. Previously there was a button labelled "not recommended Open site anyway" but this no longer exists.
    Some background to the problem.
I wanted to log into the Tattslotto site and check my account to see if I had won a prize in Powerball tonight. The site came up as blocked because it had an expired SSL certificate but I trust the site and wanted to open it and Chrome systematically blocked the site. I tried lots of things suggested by troubleshooting sites but all to no avail as nothing worked. I went to a code developers site for ideas and found that since an update several weeks ago Chrome was blocking many Government sites that they were working for and it also had an inability to validate self signed SSL certificates which developers often use.
For me the often suggested Chrome launch with -ignore-certificate-errors didn't work nor did any other suggestions because the SSL certificate had definitely expired.
I searched and read everything I could find for about 3 hours and eventually found this solution.
When you can't open a page and you get the "this is an insecure site" message go somewhere in the message window and left click then type "thisisunsafe" without the inverted commas and press enter. Problem fixed.

    DANGER ALERT PLEASE TAKE CARE
This bypass needs to be used with common sense because if you go to a nasty site that is being blocked for good reason then you won't be protected. In my case the site was safe because I have a login account and know the IP address and in my case, I was being blocked from being able to open the site to login.

BTW After doing some more checking I discovered on another dev site that the thisisunsafe bypass code replaces the previous bypass of typing badidea.......who knew

Seems like the bloody browser is now the new censor that controls what you can access even if you are an IT Professional and know what is safe and what is not......the browser can't even tell if you launched from the safety of a sandbox and still blocks access...........grrrrrrrrrr:mad::mad::mad:

    Chrome is a Google product.
Google is an American company, and the US (America) is often referred to as "Leader of the free world."
    Something is amiss.
