hardrive partition problem

I need to add more space to my C drive on a hardrive that has spare room on D drive. This is the original setup on a Sony Vaio which is about 5 years old.
Currently there is less than 200 megs left on C and I have more than 33.5 gig on the D drive left.

How do I change the size of the partition for the C drive.

The entire hardrive is only 75 gig, but is only used for business.

I would like to take it from the original 16.5 gig to 20 gig if possible.

I know there are some programs that do this, but not familiar with them.
Could you just transfer stuff from C to D then delete from C to get space?

 

I have already transfered everything that I could to D, but have not been able to move enough.
With all the updates from service pack 2 untill now it hasused up the space on C

 

I use Gparted Live CD to do most of my hard drive partition work. Free, works great.
