hardware question...

hi, not sure if im at the right place...if not plesae move it.

im just wondering how long should i can leave pc on before shut it down to let it rest? (i always leave my pc on to download anime) how long it should rest?

as such there is no time fixed for how long it shud rest. my office pc usually remain on for 3-4 days continously, then i shut it off for 20-30 min.

My Home PC usually spends just the evening working - maybe an all night session if I have something big to download... my work PC on the other hand - I think I reboot it once every 2 months or so... Just when it starts to get cranky or of course if I change a minor setting / install a patch / sneeze in its general vincinity in which case XP tells me to reboot... ;-)

 

Longest I left mine on for was about a week... then I had to get up and start moving...
