My system is an ASUS AMD Phenom II X4 965 with 16G of DDR3 Memory and a new (to me) Radeon RX 580 video card w/DDR5 memory Memory size 8GB and 256 bit BUS rate. 500G HD and 1TB backup HD. I got the video card just about 6 weeks ago. Suddenly in the past 2 weeks it has been doing odd things. I have ran BitDefender virus scan, TDSSKiller, Malewarebytes, CCleaner. My backup drive seems to be really REALLY slow when I try to copy pictures over to 2 other backups that I hook up with a docking station, but even when it is not running I can watch videos on YouTube, Liveleak, and Facebook, and after about a minute it starts sssttttuuudddderrrrriiiing periodically and gets worse over time. Then my mouse freezes up. I try to go to task manager and it takes forever to come up. I have done an SFC /SCANNOW and no errors. I am running Windows 10 64 bit. I have attached a screen shot w/ both Open Hardware Monitor and TechPowerUp GPU, and also task manager. I do notice that Firefox is showing like 8-10 processes at any given time, and I only have 3 TABS open. The only thing that has changed is a couple of add-ons on Firefox but I have eliminated this being the issue by not only disabling them but trying to watch videos in Edge and Chrome which both do the same. Other than that a huge 2.5 hour Windows 10 update was installed. It seems that install was when this really started happening.

On a side note I am running 4 monitors but before this MUCH BETTER video card, my older one could handle 3 monitors with ease.

Not sure how to close the thread.

Wow, I figured it out. Very odd problem, very easy solution. Don't know how I didn't 2 and 2 together. My secondary drive that is plugged into internal SATA kept getting slower slower and slower. The only time I used it though was to backup my pictures that I would download to my C drive pictures folder each day. I took it out of the mix (disconnected) and all of these problems went away. I am just wondering why it would affect anything when I am not using it???
